Doctor Climbing Toward Goal
Filed in archive Mountain Climbing on November 26, 2006
A British doctor has decided that the only way to reach the top is to climb mount Kilimanjaro.
In an effort to raise funds for the new Seaton ear, nose and throat clinic, Dr. Rob Daniels will travel to Africa in January to serve as the resident doctor on a VSO expedition to challenge the 19,000 foot summit of the continent's highest peak.
All of the money raised by Daniels will go into the hospital - he's hoping to raise roughly $6,000 (US).
Dr. Daniels said: "The League of Friends has raised £30,000 to make the clinic such a success and I though it was time I tried to repay all their hard work."
Daniels is an experienced climber who says he's looking forward to the 80 kilometer trek to the top. Click here to read more or to make a donation through the League of Friends.

Good luck to the Doctor not only on his climb. It is a noble gesture to do. I can say that I work in this domain and you can get a lot of satisfaction from donating or obtaining money for a noble cause.
