Enjoy free fishing weekend at Kentucky
If you love fishing then head to Kentucky on the weekend of June 5 and 6 as the authorities have declared it as a Free Fishing Weekend and there will be no need to get license for Kentucky waters.
Another good thing is that you can take your family along as a number of Kentucky State parks will be holding events for kids where you could spend a night at the lodge, cottage or campground and have fun at their restaurants.
A number of parks offer marinas where you can rent out a boat and head out for a fishing adventure. Also children under the age of sixteen years are not required to get a fishing license in Kentucky. If you would like to get more information on Kentucky State Parks, check their website.

The Wyoming Game and Fish also offers these fishing holidays once a year too. I think it is a wonderful idea to help introduce new people to fishing.

If you plan to fish in KY, you have to take a look at the Land Between the Lakes. 2 lakes plus ponds everywhere and almost every site can be fished.
Pa also has fish for free days.
