Hawaii: Big Island Blues Part Three

Up on the farm my perspective was from up high above the blue plateau of the ocean stretching before me. I was pondering the various vegetation, the massive Mango trees, the poinsettia, the jacuranda, so many flowering shrubs and weeds to meditate upon.

Hawaii foliage was a series of constant surprises, little did I know there was an equally amazing new world of colors and life – below that crisp blue line of the Pacific Ocean below me.

It was time to leave the coffee trees with the reddening beans, the double overhead Papaya trees and their green oval fruits. The ocean beckoned, it was time to discover yet another entire set of species. However, these species lived in and breathed salt water – not oxygen.
