As the worst floods hit the Cumbrian town nearly six months ago was under water which swept the Lake District. Now the settlement of around 5,000 people intends to forget all and make a comeback with outdoor activities and family events. It is hosting the Keswick Mountain Festival with variety of events for people who love Lakeland hills.
Leo Holding, Lakeland climbing star will be holding scrambling masterclass for beginners and offers the chance of practicing scrambling at one, two or three grades.

For people who have big pockets can get a chance to investigate the depths of Honister Slate Mine with walking superstar Julia Bradbury. The Friday evening champagne Dine in a Mine event is priced at £125, for which participants will get a slap up meal from the presenter company plus a tour to the mine.

On the Keswick Climbing Wall there will be a dray tooling competition using ice axes on set routes for climbers. Also you will get to experience guided walks, gill scrambling outings and navigation training days. Fore more details click here.
