Climber Sets New Speed Record for Seven Summits
He started to climb only last year, and Saturday he became the fastest seven summiteer yet. Topping out Denali on June 30 with Adventure Peaks' Dave Pritt and John Whittle, Irish climber Ian Mc Keever completed the quest in 156 days - one month less than the previous record-holder (Carstensz version), Canadian Daniel Griffith.
Bikers United Over Divide
Congress banned bicycles from the Appalachian Trail before our sport evolved, and access to the Pacific Crest Trail was eliminated in 1988, before mountain bike advocacy had fully developed. With nearly 5,000 miles of iconic trail off-limits on either coast, mountain bikers have had to look to the Rocky Mountains for their taste of epic, backcountry riding.
Moab to Host September Adventure Race
