Scotland’s Best Outdoor Fall Flings

The Scotland Sunday Times has posted an article on tripping the great outdoors for one last fling with the kids before winter. It has great suggestions for keeping the little ones busy, but – better yet – offers some great ideas and contacts for anyone who might be heading Scotland way.
Scotland's outdoors has so much to offer, from canyoning and whitewater rafting to surfing and mountain biking. Book into a hotel to suit your budget, then slot in half- or full-day activities whenever you feel the urge – or the weather allows.
Activities include cliff jumping into deep, cold pools (Seriously. In October. Those are some tough kids!), sea kayaking, pony trekking, power kiting, sled-Dogging, and mountain boarding.
They even tell you where to go abseiling. (Our quiz for the day.) Get more Scotland mini adventures.

Scotland is beatutiful at this time of year, well year round really. Some of the nicest places I’ve seen there this time of year are Loch Lomond and Calander, just north of sterling. Both offer lots of outdoor activities and it’s beautiful to see.
