How many of you are out there - people who feel they way I do about living life passionately? Do you have a favorite way of unplugging from the matrix for a one on one with nature? Rock-climbing the sheer faces in your local hills? Sand-dune surfing the beaches in your coastal niche? That is what we are dedicated to bringing you here at outdoor-weblog.com, non-stop action photos and text that will bring to life the stories of the people who live next door, but also happen to ice climb frozen waterfalls. They don't get paid for it, and yeah, they might be risking peril, but it is a lifestyle that certainly pays off in adrenaline. If you are one of the unlucky couch dwellers who wishes they could be out there risking it all for a 15' cornice section to blast a method air off of in Squaw Valley, well, don't worry, you can keep reading this online journal and fulfill those daydreams vicariously. We'll be waiting to catch your return to unsung glory when you decide to go to the garage and break out the Burton snowboard gear and plan a trip. Until then, read about those young and old enthusiasts with native roots, the kind of people who have indigenous passions. They find the natural environment a stimulating alternative to the supposed entertainment industry. Day or night there are fellow brethren who continue to fight fatigue in major muscle groups with the sole purpose of maintaining a healthy mind-body-spirit connection.

Where is the connection to the cyclical rhythms that flow across this amazing green world? Right here at outdoor-weblog.com. If you would like to support this kind of creative endeavor, the Slide Ride Glide movement, please contact me and contribute stories, ideas and material. Together we might be able to come up with stories of people who have broken away from joining a softball team. "Lots of pressure in standing around on a field waiting for someone to a hit a round ball at you." No, softball is not quite like choosing to find a talus slope somewhere on a desolate canyon road, then climbing to the top in order to see just how fast you can slide down it. Now that is a choice that helps to burn those matrix cords attached from the TV set to our brains. Once free from the lemming-maker box, you would be surprised what you can accomplish with just soul and desire. Any ordinary body will do. There are no steroids in this world that I am capturing here in these articles. There are no Barry Bonds features in this forum, but I might cover Ross Rebagliati. We may praise Jah before the interview to make sure we have our focus all squared away, but I highly doubt that he would admit to taking the clear or the lotion. Using that harmful junk does not really aid Ross or those of us in the sector of society who doesn't want paparazzi following us around everywhere. Especially when we go under the boundary ropes in order to express ourselves with athletic prowess in a setting that befits kings and queens of the biosphere. I want to start telling the stories of people whose lives have been changed by engaging in outdoor adventure sports activities. I want to encourage fellow sliders, riders and gliders to keep on seeking out the thrills that our natural world can provide. As long as you keep charging out there without aspirations of multi-million dollar contracts, I will cover you! I shall help to authenticate the marginal athletes of our world! More to come!
