Hiking
by Michelle Finch on June 27, 2008

Thanks to everyone who commented on my last post, Best Place To Hike In The US. I have to admit, there were a few I'd never thought of, but they seem really exciting. Some of the places that came up:
- Rocky Mountain National Park
- White Mountains in New Hampshire (ok, that was mine)
- Yosemite
- Big Bend
- Alaska (this one really got me thinking!)
I want to take a closer look at all of these, so over the next week or so, we'll see what kind of adventures these places and hikes offer, not only for hiking, but for other summer sports like rafting, camping, cycling and other outdoors pursuits.
Still welcome any further suggestions!!

I've been really fortunate to hook up with The Leukemia/Lymphoma Society's new adventure fundraising program, "Hike for Discovery." I've been Hiking Coach since the program came to Long Island, but LLS has chapters all around the country. I've hike the Grand Canyon three times, Rocky Mountain National Park, all over Long Island, and places north. Visit my Blog wwwjoellucks.blogspot.com for more information.
